USING THE MICROSOFT(R) WINDOWS 3.1 UNIVERSAL
PRINTER DRIVER WITH THE HP DESKJET PORTABLE PRINTER
====================================================
This document contains important information about
the Microsoft(R) Windows 3.1 Universal Printer Driver
that supplements the on-line "Help" utility.
RELEASE NOTES
=============
At the time this Microsoft(R) Universal Printer Driver
was released, the following limitations existed when
using the driver with the HP DeskJet Portable printer:
Application Limitations
-----------------------
When single sheet mode printing is employed,
a multiple page document printout may not be
syncronized with requests to "Insert Pages." The
printer will indicate when it is ready for another
page to be inserted by flashing of the printer
online indicator.
In some applications (e.g. Word Perfect) text which
is colored other than black and created with scalable
fonts will not print correctly. To avoid this
problem, format text with a black attribute.
INSTALLATION
============

HP DeskJet Family Printers supports the DeskJet,
DeskJet PLUS, DeskJet 500, DeskJet 500C (black printing
